Name	Description
Assessor	The Assessors Office is responsible for keeping the record ownership on each piece of property current, the compiling of all businesses responsible for their Personal Property and keeping the motor vehicle list up to date.

Planning and Community Development Office	Providing services involving Economic Development, Community Planning, Housing Rehabilitation Program, Small Cities Grant Program, and Fair Housing.
Emergency Communications Center	911 Communications - Police, Fire, and EMS
Finance	To provide well-informed decision making and prudent management of fiscal resources through continual enhancement of accurate and timely information.

Geographic Information Systems & Technology	Provides mapping and technology support to town departments, agencies and commissions.

Land Use Agency	Our agency consists of the Planning and Zoning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals and Conservation Commission.
Parks & Recreation	Our mission is to create quality recreation and leisure opportunities, strengthening the community through people, parks and programs.

Probate Judge
Public Works	The department consists of the Highway Department, which maintains the road system, the Transfer Station , which disposes of residential and household garbage and also contains our recycling center. The town's curbside recycling program is handled through this department. The town engineer's office is located here as well.
Registrar of Voters	The Registrars office protects the voting rights of all Newtown residents. We maintain on a continuing basis a list of all voters including new voters. We also obtain and train election workers and we insure the proper maintainance of voting machines. We conduct an annual canvass to insure the accuracy of our voting lists.
