Welcome to the Town of Newtown’s Land Use Agency. Our agency consists of the Planning and Zoning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals and Conservation Commission.

Our staff is responsible for implementing and enforcing land use regulations. We process applications and permits, provide information to the public, Town officials, and Town agencies.
Our charge is to maintain the quality of the residential neighborhoods, business and industrial districts and protection of the Town’s natural resources by enforcing land use regulations. We give service to the public and provide active and consistent enforcement in a fair and equitable manner in order to maintain property values.
